Our new Kitty Cottage

     

     

We are so excited about our Kitty Cottage located at our Me & My Sisters location at 81585 Old South Highway, MM 81.5 Oceanside, in Islamorada, Florida and even more excited to announce that we will add walls, tile flooring and an air condition unit to it. If you would like to make a 100% tax deductible donation towards the improvement - no matter in form of cash or building material - please call 305-664-5575.

Visitation hours for the Kitten Cottage are Tuesday-Saturday from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm or by appointment. We are closed on Sundays & Mondays and our phone number is 305-664-5575.

We are also excited to announce that Island Pet Company will house some of our adoptable cats at their Kitty Hut. Please stop by and check it out. Maggie, Dreamy and Melissa are looking forward meeting you!

Ms. Dilutes - has been around Me & My Sisters, Inc. for many years and when the Kitty Cottage was built, Margie decided to make Ms. Dilutes the "Keeper of the Inn". Ms. Dilutes makes sure that everyone at the Inn behaves and you have to ask her for permission first before she lets you pad her or let anyone come too close - and that counts for four-legged as well as two-legged guests.

Our adoptable Cats

We have many wonderful cats waiting to get adopted - from kittens to adults to seniors. All colors and personalities just waiting to give you all their love and affection. You can meet some of them at our kitty cottage or at the Island Pet Company . All cats are up-to-date with their shots, feline leukemia tested and spayed/neutered. Adoption fee is $25 and you will also get a free scratching post with every adoption built by Chucky's Chairs. Kittens

We had many kitten adoptions over the last few weeks but took more kittens in at the same time and we are trying the best we can to catch up with taking and posting pictures of these kittens. Please check back regularly for pictures and bios on the kittens in our system. However, you have also the opportunity to meet some of them in person at our Kitten Cottage or at the Island Pet Company in Islamorada. Our youngest kitten currently in the system is 3 weeks old and still a bottle-feeder and the average age of the others is between 7-12 weeks.

Kati - is a beautiful medium-length hair furball with unique black markings on her back and head and calico markings on her tail. She is Ginger's sister who recently got adopted and hopes that it will be her turn now to find a loving forever home. When not busy posing for the camera, Kati loves to play with the other cats and kittens at the kitty cottage or to take a nap in someone's lap.

Ginger - is an adorable white girly-girl with calico markings on her tail and head and the sister of Cedric and Celina. She likes to talk when she wants attention and turns into a big cuddle bug when not being busy checking out her surroundings.

Moo - is playful little girl with unqiue black and white markings and the sister of Nevalon. As you can see, she loves to pose for the camera and would make a great contestant for the next "America's Top Paw". When not busy striking a pose for the camera she likes to hang out with her buddies at the kitten cottage where they get involved in lots of chasing after balls and toys followed by a group nap.

Baily - is an adorable little orange boy with white bibb and paws. He is very curious when it comes to what is going on around him and he loves to play. He is approximately 10 weeks old.

Joey - is a handsome solid white boy. He is not very wild for a kitten of 10 weeks of age and will let you know when he needs attention. When not busy posing for the camera he prefers some play time followed by cuddle time. He would make a great cat for a family with kids.

Lenny - looks almost like a twin brother of Baily with his unique orange markings and white paws/bibb. He is approximately 12 weeks old and very calm for his age, which does not mean he does not like to play. You can meet him at the Island Pet Company.

Scooter - is a cute little boy with unique tabby markings who likes nothing more than to climb and explore what is going on around him. Such a little acrobat! He is not very wild compared to other kittens in his age and would make a great companion for a family with kids.

Nevalon - is an adorable white tabby and  brother of Moo. Compared to his sister, Nevalon is a bit more fluffier and might turn into a medium-length fur kitty once grown up. He is very curious and loves to explore his surroundings and can never get enough of chasing after balls.  But like his sister, he enjoys group naps with other kittens at the kitty cotttage here and there.

 

Leslie - is a beautiful long-haired tortoiseshell and one of three identical tortoiseshell sisters. Her sisters as well as her brother already got adopted and Leslie hopes it will be her turn now. She is very playful and can never get enough chasing after toys or wrestling with other kitties. When she gets tired she likes to take a nap in your lap or to cuddle up in the most unique spots.

 

OchoCinco - is an adorable black boy who came to us with his mother and siblings when he was about 7 weeks old. All of his siblings have found wonderful forever homes and he hopes it is now his turn. OchoCinco is very playful and active and always curious about what is going on around him. When he gets tired he loves to cuddle up in someone's lap or with a couple of other kitties at the kitten cottage. If you are looking for a loving yet spunky kitty, OchoCinco is the perfect match for you.

 

Miranda - is an approximately 5 months old white cutey with calico markings on her head and tail and a very laid-back kitty. She just loves to lay around and would make a great first cat for someone as she is so easy to be around with. She is not adventurous and once she finds her favroite spot she sticks with it. She gets along with cats and dogs and youc an meet her at the Kitty Hut at Island Pet Company.

 

Erin - is an adorable white tabby girl who is not only the sister of OchoCinco but also his competitor in Dancing with the Paws. She loves to take a nap in your lap whenever she is not busy practicing the latest dance moves.

Lee - is the brother of OchoCinco and Erin but not into the Dancing with Paws at all. He rather wants to explore the world and is very curious to know what is out there.

Siobban - is a beautiful tortoiseshell girl with white belly and paws who is not into Dancing with the Paws like her siblings. She rather pursues a career as America's Next Top Kitty. She definitely knows how to pose for the camera.

Niecy - is an adorable 5 weeks old girl and already pre-adopted. She has 4 more siblings and hopes that they will get adopted soon, too.

 

Sunny - is an adorable white tabby girl and sister of Little One. She is very curious to see what is going on around her, loves to play and wrestle with other kittens and to chase after toys. Yet, she is very loving and does not mind a napping in someone's lap or arms.

Special Needs Cats

Ms. Lucky - is one of the most unique and sweetest strays we have ever seen. It was like she wanted to get caught to escape a long and cruel life on the streets. She is approximately 8-10 years old but looks older obviously due to a rough life she had living on the streets. Unfortunately, she was tested positive for feline aids but her sweetness and personality are unbelievable. She deserves to live the rest of her life in peace and safety and to leave her rough street life behind for good. She would make a great kitty for someone who only wants to have one cat or is looking for a companion for another feline aids kitty.

B.T. - is a young tabby lady and approximately 3-5 years old. She lived on the streets for a couple of years and therefore, shy around people she does not know. Once she gets to know someone she slowly warms up and lets you pad her.  Since she needs lots of attention and someone who has patience we do not recommend she goes to a home where there is another cat or pet and definitely no kids. We are sure that she will pay you back for all your patience with all her love.

Cat of the Week

Mikey - is a handsome 1 year old tuxedo boy who needs that special attention and will let youk now if he does not feel like he gets it. In return, he will give you lots of love, cuddling up in your lap or arms and showing off for you by chasing after toys. He loves to hug and give kisses as well. He gets along with other cats and dogs and would make a great companion for a cat already int he household. Since Mikey likes to play rough we do not recommend him for a home with small children.

 

 

Flaco - is an adorable and very curious teenage boy and approximately 8 months old. He was adopted but returned within 1 week. While trying to clip his nails we discovered that his previous adopters had him declawed without our permission/knowledge. Flaco loves to play with the other cats at the Kitty Cottage and his favorite playmate is Mikey. He does not really like dogs and prefers to go to a home where he is the only cat or has another cat as playmate .

Max -  is a beautiful caramel buff tabby with white paws and bib. He is approximateloy 2 years old, a big love bug and the perfect cat for you if you are looking for a cuddle kitty. Max gets along with other cats and his best buddy is Clyde. You can meet him at the Kitty Cottage.

Clyde - is a sweet and big orange/white boy and approximately 4 years old. He is a big charmer and loves nothing more than to cuddle. He gets along great with other cats and his long-time buddy, Max, was adopoted recently. He now hopes it is his turn to go to a forever and loving home. You can meet this sweet boy at our Kitty Cottage.

 

 

Redford - Move aside, Garfield, here comes Redford. Redford is an adorable big boy, approximately 4-6 years old and loves to cuddle and just to relax. His love and personality is as big as he is. He was recently returned by previous adopters due to family issues and is now back in our kitty cottage with his friends hoping the next adoption will work out. loves to cuddle and to just relax.

Ms. Pearl - is one of the most beautiful silver tabbies we have seen. She was found as a stray and is approximately 3 years old. She is very loveable and makes the perfect lap kitty.  She gets along with other cats but prefers to be the only kitty, if possible.

Spots - a sweet white little lady with unique markings, approximately 2 1/2 years old and who came to us as a stray was adopted by her foster home. Her foster Dad said that Spots did fit right in and started to make friends with the other felines in the home.

Mikey - is a very playful and curious 8 months old tuxedo teenager. There is never a dull moment when he is around and he makes sure you stay busy. He loves having playmates and would be great for a home where there is a feline already. However, his best buddy is Flaco and if they both could go to the same home that sure would make him super happy.

 

Donnie - We are so happy to announce that Donnie got adopted! He became everyone's favorite kitty and was available for adoption at the Island Pet Company. Melissa, owner of the Island Pet Company said that many people walked into her store just to see and play with Donnie. Several people said that they will think about adopting Donnie. One Sunday morning Melissa received a call from a neighbor of hers who stopped by her store numerous times to spend time with Donnie. He decided to finally adopt Donnie and asked Melissa if she can meet him at the store since he could not wait to bring Donnie home.

Marilyn - we figured that it would not take very long for Marilyn to find a home. Definitely the next Fancy Feast spokesperson, she went home with a young couple who fell in love with her at first sight when they stopped by Me & My Sisters, Inc. were Marilyn was temporarily residing. And yes, she kept the crown.

Mini Clyde - is an adorable orange/white boy and looks like the mini version of Clyde. He is approximately 9 months old and a big cuddler. He was found as a stray and now cannot wait to give all his love and affection to a forever home.

Gorda - is a gorgeous buff calico lady and approximately 3 years old. Even if she gets along with other cats, she needs to go to a home where she will be the only kitty since she is on a special diet and needs that extra attention. She will pay you back with lots of love, kisses and sweetness. Gorda was an owner-surrender cat since the landlord did not allow cats and now enjoys staying with her foster mother, Tracie, until she gets adopted.

 

Puffin - is an adorable young tuxedo man and approximately 3-5 years old. When he is not busy playing he just likes to relax in a corner and to give himself a good grooming. He gets along with other cats but prefers to be the only kitty. He makes the perfect kitty for you if you are looking for a family member who is laid-back yet playful. Puffin went to a home where he will have playmates and will receive lots of TLC!

Prince - is a beautiful flame point Himalayan, approximately 4 years old and has his front paws declawed. After going through some dental work he is now ready to be adopted. He is an owner-surrendered cat, very affectionate and one of Margie's favorite foster kitties. He gets along with other cats but loves the idea of being the only cat.
