OUR EVENTS
In order to help raise funds to cover for expenses related to the trapping and spaying/neutering of cats, medical supply, food etc. Caring for Cats holds different events throughout the year such as The Fur Ball and the Rummage Sale.
Believe it or not, but Margie's Rummage sale is always a success and there is always something for everyone. If you have one or the other item you no longer need or use, Margie would love to have it for the rummage sale. It's like the saying "someone's junk is another one's (Margie's) treasure."Â Usually, the rummage sale will take place in early spring and early fall, but we may have a special rummage sale coming up in August (indoor). Please stay tuned for more info.
Caring for Cats had its first annual benefit - The Fur Ball - on April 30, 2010, at the Holiday Isle Beach Resort and Marina in Islamorada. The first event was a success and the second annual The Fur Ball is planned for April 15, 2011. Please mark your calendars and check out the Fur Ball link for the recent updates and information. We have started to accept sponsorships and are still looking for 1-2 members to join our Fur Ball 2011 Committee.
Me & My Sisters Gift Shop will be closing its doors October 31, 2010. Please check out their great store closing sale. What a great opportunity to start your Christmas shopping now. No matter if fashion jewelry or home decor items, you will find it all at Me & My Sisters. Please check out our Me & My Sisters link for more details.
The Fur Ball 2011 Committee had its first meeting on July 12, 2010, and the next meeting is planned for the end of August/beginning of September. If you are interested in joining the committtee, we still have a couple of spots available!

Caring for Cats' first fundraiser!Â
Caring for Cats' first fundraiser took place on November 18, 2009, at the Spanish Gardens in Islamorada. It was a fun event with close to 100 attendees who enjoyed great food, cash bar, basket raffle, door prizes, 50/50 raffle and silent auction. Thank you, Oscar, and his staff at the Spanish Gardens to make this event a success. Here are a few pictures for you to enjoy!
